How to Start
You can start with just one person.
Pick someone you already share things with.
Make a Pool.
If you don’t know what to call it, call it:
For _____ (their name)
That’s enough to start.
Use it when you want to share, but not ping them.
Post when you catch yourself thinking:
- “You’ll like this”
- “This made me think of you”
- “No rush”
- “Saving this here”
- “Remind me to tell you about this”
You’re not asking them for an immediate response.
You’re putting it somewhere they can see when they want.

Then invite more than one person.
Maybe your family. Or a couple friends.
You share different Pools with different people.
You’ll start noticing things that are better in Pools than a group chat.
Decide which people can view and post to which Pools.
Make a Pool when something needs a home.
It’s still the same idea – small, specific, and only the people who actually care.
- A trip you never organized (photos and notes)
- A running list of recommendations (for the right people only)
- Renovation updates (for the people who asked)
- Family photos from the past (with names and context)
- Trip planning (ideas and shared notes)
- Family updates (small life moments)

Make another Pool the second time something comes up.
If something comes up twice, it probably deserves a Pool.
Maybe this is a Pool that you both can post to.
- Restaurants you keep mentioning
- Ideas for around the house
- Movies and shows you keep saying you’ll watch
- Anything in the “we should remember this” category
- Memes, funny videos, and screenshots
You’ll start noticing:
what keeps coming up, what keeps getting buried, what deserves its own spot.

That’s the pattern.
Start with one person. Make one Pool. Post one thing.
You’ll figure out the rest as you go.
Pools don’t need to be perfect.
You can rename anything, change it, or delete it.
